I’ve been dying to post this wedding! I can’t go on enough about how much Emily Smiley killed it with the coordinating for this event. Also, huge shout out to Dylan for second shooting with me again :)

I want to go on and on about how awesome all the vendors were, how fun Amy and Ian were (how Ian had Amy show me a photo of a famous movie killer, Jason, to make sure I was a good fit :P)… but I have a TON of images to post and figure we should just get straight to them!

Ian’s reaction to seeing Amy’s gift — a boudoir album :)

The guys hanging out.

Emily Smiley and LaVonne from Adorations did an INSANE job with the planning and detailing of this wedding. I felt like a 5 year old compared to the insane work they were doing!!!

Can you tell that Platinum Pro nailed Amy and Ian’s custom floor by their reaction here?! :)

More amazing details!

I LOVED their cake!!!

They had a walk in welcome ovation like they were celebrities :)

The first dance led into a really fun group dance with the entire bridal party. Naturally, Amy air guitar’ed the living daylights out of Ian’s leg :)

I can’t even begin to explain how funny the best man’s speech was. Obviously, in my line of work, I hear a lot of these. I can’t count how many times I was just laughing out like a guest. It was one of those speeches that wasn’t just funny to those who knew him — it was just plain funny. Hence the following image…

The following images have a funny story. Amy apparently is completely unaware of her strength. So this bouquet toss went a bit different…

… So Amy threw the bouquet clear over all the single ladies. Apparently, it landed RIGHT in this girl’s lap — who, you guessed it, is single! Can someone say fate? :P

Huge shout out to DJ Justin Kanoya. An awesome, fun, NOT cheesy DJ can be a hard find. Justin is absolutely awesome!

The next day, we did a day after session with Amy and Ian. Can I just say how much I LOVE day after sessions? You have way more time to relax and be with your guests on your wedding day and you end up with tons of stress free time for shooting wherever you want the next day (and during the best light). The following images wouldn’t have been possible without the day after sesh :)

While shooting, Dylan noticed something amazing. A bobcat just above us!!! This animal was gorgeous and if you have ever followed my African safari posts, you know how much I love seeing animals in the wild. It was a week after coming back from a safari and made me so grateful! I’ve always wanted to see a wild cat like this in my hometown!

Wow! That was a LOT of images! Hope you enjoyed them :)

Shauna - This wedding was truly gorgeous and beautifully photographed! From the details of the ceremony with all 4 corners & elements being represented and them in the center representing the spirit, the ribbon tied into a magical pentacle, the decor, the adorable cake, the after session pictures with that tree - oh that tree is amazing! And, the bobcat - almost like someone's familiar was out there with them. Truly personalized and beautiful without being even an ounce cheesy - great job to all the vendors on this gorgeous wedding. Would love to write a blog post on it if I could get all the vendor names & contact info. -Shauna: YourLifEvents.com|Weddings, Nesting, Coupling & Kids | Lifestyle & Wedding Blog for the Artsy ChicJuly 23, 2010 - 9:23 am
