Saint Brigid’s San Diego Wedding Photos: Erik and Natasha

Erik and Natasha got married at the beautiful Saint Brigid’s in Pacific Beach and then had an awesome reception at the Abbey on Fifth Ave in San Diego. We met Erik and Natasha last year. Actually, I met Natasha at Julia and Barry’s Hotel Del Wedding last year. It was a half Russian wedding and Natasha (who’s parents are from Russia and who speaks fluent Russian) was helping Emily Smiley (the coordinator) with the Russian bits :) So after I posted the photos from that wedding on the blog, Natasha said that I was her guy. I’m so happy she did because we absolutely hit it off her and Erik when we first met.

Then we got pregnant!

With their wedding being in early October — and our due date being the 5th of the same month — I then got an email from them saying (much more sweetly) “will you still be able to shoot our wedding???” When I book my couples, I get so invested in shooting their wedding. I assured them that while Lindsay might not make it, I will be there. And so we talked to our doc and a scheduled induction was underway. That’s how much I wanted to shoot their wedding :)

Lindsay wasn’t able to come to come along — so I replaced her with a much less hot and curvy, but super amazing photographer ;) My great friend, Josh. Huge thanks to him for killing at the wedding with me!

I really enjoy being around when the bride’s dad sees his daughter dressed up for the first time :)

There’s nothing all that special about this image. Just wondering if I’m the only one who read it as “The Mighty The Lord, One, has God spoken.” I was very confused…

A party pit stop :)

Natasha and Erik’s parents. Russia and Mexico coming together in America. I love my country :)

Silly Americans. Russians don’t toast with sissy champagne. They toast with vodka shots.

My friend, and KILLER San Diego Wedding DJ, Justin. Love working with him because it never feels like work! You can tell from the dance pictures that he gets people having a good time :)

When mom and dad are dancing, she’s getting her halloween stash started early :)

Love this image. Very “Haunted Mansion” at Disneyland…

I’m a dork.

Such a fun wedding! Erik and Natasha, thanks so much for having me as a part of your huge party of a day! You warned me how fun it was going to be — but I still had no idea! You guys should get married again every year and keep having me shoot it :)
