Don’t leave your iPad on your car…

If you do, this might happen…

So I was loading the stroller into the back of our SUV. I set my iPad on the bumper first. Immediately, I told myself “self, this is a terrible place for an iPad…” and I responded to myself, “self, explain how…“. The answer I gave myself was “well, you could so easily forget you put it there and drive off.” I responded to myself with the counter, “well, I guess that’s possible. But we’ve just now had this conversation, and it’ll take literally 5 seconds to put the stroller in and then grab the iPad. Surely, since we just worked this out, I can’t be that stupid…

How wrong I was. I most definitely can be that stupid.

That conversation happened almost verbatim in my head. It was over the course of one or two seconds — but I really reasoned myself out of putting my iPad on my bumper, only to follow by reasoning myself right back into putting my iPad on my bumper. Sure enough, I backed out my driveway with the iPad on my bumper. Drove about twenty seconds, realized it, turned around, only to find my iPad had been run over.

In the end, I blame Clive. If it weren’t for him, there would be no stroller. It’s all his fault!!! The only problem is that it’s so hard to stay mad at him when he looks like this…

And honestly, as much as getting your iPad is an inconvenience, to say the least, I look at my beautiful baby and am just so grateful for his health and safety. Take that Apple!!!
