This trip has truly been incredible. Better than I ever expected!
On Monday we left Kanchanaburi at sunrise for our day of overland travel to the border of Thailand and Cambodia. Here’s the crew waiting for the train.
This kid was one of the cutest little boys ever. He loved Dane’s glasses :)
Hannah (left) and Cherish (right) getting their gaze on as we approach the Cambodian border.
I love trains.
Our arrival at the border town – Arranyaprathet, Thailand.
The following morning we took tuk-tuk’s to the border crossing. They always try so hard along the way to scam you somehow. This guy tried to say we had to get visa’s at a different “official” visa place. He also said we must exchange money with him. It’s nice to know what is true and what isn’t :)
The first night you get into Siem Reap, you can do the sunset over all of Cambodia free with your ticket to Angkor Wat. It’s one of my favorite things to do.
Cambodians wounded by old land mines playing music. They’ve held the same spot for the last three years :)
I don’t know who this is behind us, but it’s one of the RPTE tuk-tuk’s :)
Today (wednesday) was our first full day at the ruins.
The ancient south gate.
Amy getting all brave with wild monkeys!
Ta Prohm. One of my favorite ruins here.
Being back here has been so fun. All of my tuk-tuk drivers remembered us from our past trips — they picked me up and swung me around when we got here :) Some of the best people I know…
Tomorrow we get up EARLY for the sunrise. I really can’t wait to do this again!
