So I’m going to do something a little bit different for this week’s before and after Wednesday. I’m taking three images from Astami and Chan’s Bali wedding and only applying a single Lightroom preset from my totally rad presets. Honestly, I use these presets like crazy. I much prefer to get things done in Lightroom — so anything that makes that possible is something I love :)
So these images are simply having Bitchin Camaro Lite (TRA preset) and Sharpen for Web (TRA action) applied. It doesn’t get any easier…
The images below are the final, processed images. Roll your mouse over the images to see the unprocessed originals…

Remember, if you’re looking for something to spruce up your photos, go for it and grab some Get Totally Rad Actions! I paid for both sets out of my pocket and LOVE them. And if you do it through my link above or the banner below (shameless plug) I’ll love you long time.

Music is a pretty normal part of the Earle upbringing. None of us really took any lessons — it’s sort of just in the blood. Probably my favorite instrument to play is the piano. I grew up with one and played the living daylights out of it. When we found out we were pregnant, I really wanted a piano in the home so we grabbed one quick. Clive grew in Lindsay’s tummy hearing a TON of piano. So now, when he is upset, me playing the piano usually soothes him pretty good. It’s incredibly adorable to hear him crying and unhappy and immediately stop when I start playing anything from Chopin to the Pixies :)
Now with him getting older, he’s starting to participate in more things. Piano being a big one. He’ll sit on my lap and watch my right hand play — and the moment I stop he rushes to banging the crap out of the keys. Then when I start playing again he immediately stops and watches me again. And that process is repeated many, many times. It’s been so fun :)

Sidenote: I’m home! I was supposed to be gone a little while longer (spending some time in Malaysia and Singapore), but Lindsay called me in Bali with a weird pain in her side. I jumped on the next flight home. Her pain went away — but I’m still glad I came home early. Hugging Lindsay when she picked me up, and then seeing Clive’s smile grow to monumental proportions when I said his name? I’ll take family life over travel life any day of the week and twice on Sundays ;)

I love monkeys. There’s no way around it. I remember it was an actual dream of mine — like bucket list level — to see a wild monkey not too many years ago. I’m so fortunate now to have monkeys be a fairly normal part of my life. As much as I am used to being around them, interacting with them simply never gets old. I can hang out with monkeys all day long.
Josh and I were at Uluwatu temple out here in Indonesia — hundreds of monkeys amongst hundreds of people. Not one jumped on anyone else. This guy started going through my shootsac, tried to grab my beanie from one of the pockets, and then just jumped on my back. Josh shot the whole thing :)

Monkeys make everything better. Lindsay would say caramel makes everything better. But she’s dead wrong. It’s monkeys.
