Daniel and Lara. These two are the kind of people photographers love to work with. They respect the art of photography and let me to do whatever I felt was best. You really can’t ask for more as a photographer. It also doesn’t hurt that when we met the first time, we just shared fun travel stories for like 3 hours :)

Daniel and Lara decided on doing a first look. If I would have done one thing differently on my wedding day, it would be this. Not because it makes pictures easier — but because as guys, there is a lot of pressure on our reaction. We know that tons of people are going to judge our reaction and try to figure out how in love we are with our almost wives. I know I didn’t like the pressure. I wish I could have seen my bride all by myself — in a much more intimate setting. The photographer in me likes first looks. The romantic in me absolutely loves them.

Once again, A Dream Wedding by Sharon and Paula of Rae Florae absolutely killed it at this wedding :) Love working with these two!

I don’t think I’ve ever blogged about an officiant before, but Bethel was awesome. This was by far the most personalized wedding ceremony I’ve ever been to. Aside from all the sweet little things she did to make the ceremony so meaningful, she has something that you just can’t learn. She loves what she does! And it really shows :)
A few more photos after the ceremony…

Daniel’s parents dancing. Love this one.

Getting advice from the longest married couple at the wedding :)

I’ve never seen so much dancing at a wedding in my life! The whole family — grandchildren to grandparents. This is one of Daniel and his sister (pro dancer) getting down to “Hey Mickey” — I was blown away.

And this was the best one of me out of all the ones Josh took! I hope Clive gets Lindsay’s looks :P
HUGE shout out of thanks to my incredible friend, Josh, for filling in for Lindsay. Funny story here. When Lara was looking at photographers for her wedding, apparently me and Josh were two of her final picks — and with him being (at the time) from Santa Barbara, I won the battle. It was so fun seeing Lara get all excited on her wedding day when she let us know that Josh was one of her top choices — and she got him anyways! Fun, huh?
Daniel and Lara, thanks so much for having me be a part of your wedding. I loved every minute of it :)
