So, Karey and Todd are awesome! They love traveling Asia, so that’s a plus (given our obsession with the entire continent). Not only that, they are getting married in Thailand and we’re shooting the wedding! We’ve been waiting for this one since the day they booked us. Destination weddings are our absolute favorite :)
We met these two at Mitch and Kelly’s wedding (above) earlier this year (thanks for the referral you two!).
So we ended up hanging out with Karey and Todd ’till way later than we planned (as we had to drive to Santa Barbara that night), but we couldn’t help ourselves… time flies hanging out with these guys!
oh yeah, they have THEE best two little dachsunds I’ve ever been around!
Katie Slater - B&L ~ I love the last one with the texture: it invokes such a peaceful, passionate emotion... :)

kareyandtodd - Bobby and Lindsay - thanks for the great experience! We were NERVOUS but your direction and words of advice made us feel comfortable and helped us "get it on" so to speak for the camera! Tony and Tyler were very excited as well. :)We can't wait to see the rest!!! See you in Phuket! Karey and the Triple T Team (Todd, Tony and Tyler)October 1, 2008 - 8:49 am

Bobby Earle - YAY!!! So glad everyone likes the last one (with texture)!!! I don't do textures very often so I wasn't sure how it would go over :)
Karey and Todd, you're both SO welcome! It was easy shooting you two :) We had a blast and CANNOT wait for Thailand either!!!
BobbyOctober 1, 2008 - 10:36 am
Tim Halberg - sounds like that should be a sick wedding!!!!October 2, 2008 - 10:12 am
Well, we left San Francisco after our AWESOME engagement shoot with Karey and Todd (thanks for being so fun you two!). They were so much fun that we ended up not leaving SF ’till like 10pm – we just talked and ate amazing cheese all evening :) We ended pulling over and taking a little nap at like 1am so we didn’t get in until 5am!
Fun at the GG bridge :)
Anyways, we went to Josh’s house in the morning and he took us for a ride on his new Ducati motorcyle!!! That thing is SO flippin’ fast (by the way, Josh is an awesome photographer who REFUSES to update his blog! Go leave him some comments nagging him to have a new blog post). Then the three of us headed on over to hang at the Freedom House with Allie and DJ. Wowzerz! DJ’s house should be on MTV’s cribs, or something. It’s honestly the most comfortable, relaxing house I’ve been in. He might have thee best view of any beach city I’ve ever seen. No lie.
Josh giving Lindsay a ride on his crazy fast motorcycle…
Alright, well check back tomorrow as I should have some photos up of Karey and Todd’s engagement shoot from yesterday! Lindsay’s taking a nap on DJ’s couch and since we barely slept last night I just might join her :)
Well after getting back from Nashville a week or so ago, we’re off again :) We’re up in San Francisco right now and we really enjoy this place. We shot Gabbie and Oliver’s engagement session today. They’re getting married up here (in SF) at the end of October, so we’ll be coming back again within the month!
Anyways, as we were shooting these two today, we overheard them referencing to the movie “Anchorman.” Anyone that quotes Anchorman are our kind of people… that’s the best comedy of all time :)
Here’s a couple quick picks from the shoot today. Enjoy!
What can I say. Lindsay and I were waiting for this wedding from the moment we met with Hana to talk about shooting her wedding. We literally hung out for THREE HOURS!!! After about two and a half hours past we realized, “we should probably talk about photography, huh?” We knew immediately that we were going to LOVE being around these guys. And we absolutely did :)
Now, I could be wrong, but I think Hana and James are BOTH doctors (I know James is, for sure). It seemed like all of the wedding party and guests were all doctors, as well. As a guy who hasn’t had health insurance a day in his life, messed up an unforgivable amount of bones and ligaments, never (to my memory) been to a doctor, and never had any shots (not even as a baby – curse those crazy parents :), I just didn’t know what to expect! Well, I met some of the nicest people at this wedding. Dr. Joe,
for example, (a close friend of Hana and James’) is possibly my favorite person that I’ve met at a wedding this year. Here’s an awesome photo of him! I’m thinking maybe he asked for a scalpel and instead was handed an iron?
Anyways, we just LOVED shooting these two. The whole wedding was spectacular. Their wedding venue, Eagle Glen in Corona, is probably my favorite venue I’ve ever shot at. The lighting there around 6pm is the best I’ve ever shot for a wedding. DEFINITELY a great place to get married if you want to make your photographer happy (and get great photos :).
James and Hana, we hope you LOVE these photos as much as we LOVED taking them. You two really are a special pair ;)

I went to school with Joleen from kindergarten to 8th grade. Sadly, we ran into each other at a friend’s funeral recently. We hadn’t seen each other in about ten years, I’d say. Well, she met Lindsay, we caught up on life, and just had a great time chewing some fat, so to speak.
A while later I receive an “I’m engaged!” email from Joleen and her saying she wants me to photograph the wedding. Long story short, she booked us and we shot it :) It was truly a great day.
Hope you enjoy the photos! This wedding was one of my favorites :)
