That’s right. My second macbook crashed on me tonight. The irony of it all is that it crashed as I was backing it up. This is the second macbook (separate laptops) to crash on me this year.
Anyways, I was pretty upset this time as I had some really sentimental things on my hard drive. Last time was a little annoying but I had everything backed up so I wasn’t too upset. This time I just had too much personal stuff that I felt so upset about losing.
As the night went on, I started feeling a little guilty for how upset I was. There’s nothing wrong with feeling upset about something like this, but as much as I can I try to put things like this into perspective with the rest of the world. The fact is, in the big picture of things, my family is safe, fed, and warm. As much as what I lost is in fact a loss, it’s nothing compared to how good my life is. I think it’s important that even in times of extreme frustration or anger we remember that.

I just received the following email from the gym owner…
Fortunately, I was at one point very interested in becoming a lawyer, doing quite a lot of studying on the matter, and I know full well what libel is (and what it isn’t). But since I am traveling tomorrow through SE Asia, I’ll put the matter on hold until I return. If the gym owner can show any parts of my post that are in fact libelous, I will indeed retract such parts. But if he cannot, however, I will be posting the entire review, as well as all of our email correspondences.
